About ISSI 2025
The ISSI 2025 Conference offers a global platform for scientists, research managers, policymakers, and information professionals to engage in discussions on the latest developments in informetric and scientometric theories and their practical applications. Alongside its traditional evaluative focus, the conference will explore the broader impact of these metrics in fields such as library and information science, data mining, information retrieval, and the history and philosophy of science.
Organized by the Centre for Scientific Analysis and Monitoring (CSIAM), part of the Institute for Informatics and Automation Problems at the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, and hosted by Yerevan State University (YSU) under the auspices of the International Society for Informetrics and Scientometrics (ISSI), the conference will be conducted in English. For more information, visit ISSI’s website.

Keynote Speaker
Gunnar Sivertsen is Research Professor Emeritus at the Nordic Institute for Studies in Innovation, Research and Education (NIFU) in Oslo, Norway. Sivertsen’s research contributes to science-based innovation in the development of research policy, evaluation, and funding, and in the use of aggregate indicators for the same purposes. Sivertsen founded scientometrics as a field of research in his country thirty years ago (see ISSI Newsletter No. 4, 2019).
He has created the so-called Norwegian Model for a complete representation of scientific publications from all fields of research as well as the Modified Fractional Counting (MFC) indicator for a balanced representation of different co-authorship practices in scientometrics measurements. He has published in thirteen languages with co-authors in twenty-four different countries.
